We met during the "big freeze" of 2007. It was the day before classes were supposed to start for the Spring 2007 semester. Classes got canceled and as a result the students had nothing to do but go out and have some fun. Jim was out with some friends and the Dixie Chicken and I went to the Chicken in the hopes of meeting up with some friends of mine. Well my friends never showed up. After watching me sit alone while waiting, Jim's friend Matt (aka Gully) came over and asked me to play some 42 with him and some of his friends. To make a long story short, this is the night we met. Us meeting was truely an act of God. It took a rare Texas freeze and some good and not-so-good friends. It was a couple of months after this that we started dating. This delay was my fault but Jim did not give up. His persistance paid off and we have been together since March of 2007. On April 5, 2008, Jim got down on his knee under the big Aggie ring at Ring Dance and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. And as you know, I said YES! So here we are, preparing for the biggest day of our lives and the beginning of our life together as one.
